Open Positions

Postdoctoral Researchers

Candidates interested in joining the lab as postdoctoral researchers should contact Dr. Christine Merlin (cmerlin@bio.tamu.edu) with their CV and a cover letter elaborating on reasons for their interest in the lab, long-term goals, what they would bring to the lab and expect to gain from training in the lab, as well as the name and contact information of three references. The lab does not have open positions at all time but is always interested in hearing about potential candidates. The lab is committed to the success of its trainees and will help candidates obtain independent fellowships with competitive track records whenever possible. Many postdoctoral fellowships options are available, as listed below:

Graduate Students

Candidates interested in joining the lab as graduate students should contact Dr. Christine Merlin (cmerlin@bio.tamu.edu) to inquire about available opportunities with their CV, academic transcripts and a cover letter explaining their specific scientific interests and career goals. The lab is dedicated to train the next generation of scientists that will enhance the scientific workforce broadly.

 

Applications can be through the Department of Biology, the interdisciplinary programs in Genetics and Genomics, Neuroscience or Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Texas A&M University. Deadlines for applications are usually December 1 of each year, so early inquiries are encouraged.

Undergraduate Students

We are currently seeking undergraduate students interested in behavioral work and genetics! Interested students should contact Dr. Christine Merlin (cmerlin@bio.tamu.edu) and postdoctoral researchers Dr. Vinaya Shetty (vshetty@tamu.edu) and Dr. Kayla Goforth (kmgoforth@tamu.edu) with a resume, their current transcripts and a statement of purpose.
